Randolph College Password Policy Effective March 13, 2023


Password Requirements

To enhance security, all passwords must meet the following criteria:

  • Length: At least 12 characters

  • Complexity: Must include at least three of the following:

    • Uppercase letters (A-Z)

    • Lowercase letters (a-z)

    • Numbers (0-9)

    • Special characters (e.g., !, @, #, $)

  • Expiration: Passwords must be updated every 365 days

Pro Tip: Create a passphrase that is both secure and easy to remember. Example: "I love biking in the mountains!"


Resetting or Changing Your Password

If you need to reset or update your password, follow these steps:

  1. Access RCConnect

  2. Initiate Password Reset

    • Click on the “Login Help” link.

  3. Provide Your Network ID

    • Enter your network ID (same as your username) and select Continue.

  4. Receive and Use the Reset Code

    • Check your alternate email or text messages for a reset code.

    • Enter the code as prompted to create a new password.

Important: If you have not set up an alternate email or phone number, you will need to contact the Help Desk for assistance.
