Connecting to Randolph VPN
To use the Randolph College VPN, you must first register and receive approval to have VPN installed on your device.
VPN access requires DUO Security for two-factor authentication. Follow the steps below to get started.
Prerequisites

Enroll in DUO Security

DUO Security is required for VPN access and works through an app on your phone.

Download the DUO Mobile app from your app store.

Install the VPN Client

Ensure the Randolph VPN client is installed on your device (computer, laptop, phone, or tablet). If you need help with installation, contact the IT Help Desk.

Internet Connection

Verify that your device is connected to the internet (off-campus) before attempting to connect to VPN.

DUO Prompt
-
When connecting to the VPN, you will receive a DUO prompt on your phone. You must Accept the prompt to complete the VPN connection. Always keep your phone nearby when connecting to VPN.

Note: If you receive a DUO prompt without attempting to connect to the VPN, do not approve it and report the incident to IT immediately.

Connecting to the VPN
For Windows 10:

Access the Network Settings

Click the WiFi network icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.

Select Randolph VPN

From the list of available networks, choose Randolph VPN.

Enter Credentials
-
When prompted, enter your Randolph College username and password.

Click OK to proceed.

For macOS:

Access the VPN Menu

Click the VPN icon in the top right corner of your screen.

Connect to Randolph VPN

Select Connect to Randolph VPN from the dropdown menu.

Enter Credentials
-
Enter your Randolph College username and password when prompted.

Troubleshooting Tips

No Internet Connection
-
Ensure you are connected to the internet before attempting to connect to VPN.

DUO Prompt Issues
-
Make sure notifications are enabled for the DUO app on your phone.

If the prompt does not appear, open the DUO Mobile app to manually approve the request.

Unable to Connect
-
Double-check your username and password.

Restart your device and try again.
