Password and Account Information

How often do I need to change my network password?
You will be prompted to change your password every 365 days. -
How do I get an account and password for the administrative applications I will need to use?
Your supervisor will provide you with the necessary login, password, and permissions to access the applications required for your role.
Computer and Software Information

What kind of computer will I be working on?

Randolph College primarily provides Dell PCs for Windows users and Macs for Apple users.

Computers are rotated or “trickled” down annually based on needs. Contact your supervisor to check when a newer computer may be available or to request a device.

Laptops for travel: Staff or faculty who travel frequently should check with their supervisor about department laptops. IT does not directly provide laptops.

What software does the campus use?

Standardized software includes Microsoft Office 365 for Windows 10/11 and MacOS.

Latest Internet browser software and antivirus software are installed on all campus computers, with regular updates provided by the IT team.

What classes or workshops are offered on campus?
The Help Desk offers workshops on Microsoft applications as needed. For one-on-one training or to schedule a group workshop, contact the Help Desk:-

Check with your supervisor or IT support staff for additional training opportunities or conferences.

Where can I check for the latest campus updates?
Use the college portal at http://inside.randolphcollege.edu/.-
Log in with your network credentials.

The portal includes time-sensitive alerts, event schedules, dining menus, classifieds, links to e-mail, HR forms, and more.
